Enterprise IT expertise. AI as my multiplier.

I run enterprise IT every day, ship production software, and read the research papers in between. One person. The full stack. Built to outlive the engagement.

The Edge

Why I'm the one you call.

Breadth

I've spent a decade at the center of enterprise IT.

Networks, cloud, security, compliance, endpoints, vendor management, procurement, custom software. If it plugs in or logs in, I've either run it, built it, or rebuilt it. That breadth isn't a line on a resume — it's how I work every day, because real businesses don't have problems that respect org charts.

Leverage

AI is leverage. Judgment is the skill.

I read the research. I run five or six frontier models in parallel. I treat them like colleagues — challenging, testing, pushing boundaries — because that's the only way to know what's real and what's hype. The result is simple: strategy, build, and execution at a speed and depth that used to require a floor of engineers.

Durability

And when I build, I build things that don't need me to keep running.

Production-grade. Secure. Scalable. The custom software I've shipped is still running — handling fleet operations, IT administration, compliance workflows — without me babysitting it. That's the bar. Anything less isn't worth charging for.

The Transformation Engagement

0 → Enterprise-Grade

Whatever state your IT is in today, this is the engagement that takes it to enterprise-grade. I audit what's there, design what's missing, build what's needed, operate it — and hand you back a stack that runs without me.

The Build Engagement

Idea → In production.

You describe the problem. I design it, ship it, instrument it, and hand you a system that runs itself. One operator, the whole stack — frontend, backend, mobile, cloud, CI/CD, observability, code quality enforcement. No vendor hand-offs. No “that's not my area.”

About

Built by someone who gets the bigger picture.

Johnny Whitworth
Johnny Whitworth
IT Director & Founder
"I'm not a salesman. I'm a guy who needed stuff, learned how to make stuff, and now I make things for people with the same problems I had."

By day I'm the IT Director at a mid-market company, responsible for literally everything technology touches. Networking, cloud, security, compliance, budgeting, procurement, endpoint management, vendor relationships. If it plugs in or logs in, it's on my desk.

That's where Alopex came from. Years of running enterprise IT means I've seen every pain point a business can have. Tools that don't talk to each other, manual processes nobody has time to fix, vendors who overpromise and underdeliver. So I started building the solutions myself.

I don't build technology for technology's sake. I've sat in the chair of the person who needs these things, and I know what actually matters: it has to work, it has to be secure, and it has to solve a real problem.

On AI: I don't treat AI as a buzzword or a product to sell. I treat it as a colleague. I read the research papers, run multiple frontier models in parallel every day, and push each one to its limits so I know — not guess — what works. When I bring AI into a project, it's because I've already tested the approach, broken it, and rebuilt it. You get the benefit without the experiment.

On what I build: Every custom application I've shipped is still running. Fleet tracking across 500+ vehicles, IT administration platforms, compliance workflows, network analytics, mobile apps. Production-grade, secure, and built to scale. They're still working because I build things that don't need me to keep working.
