"I'm not a salesman. I'm a guy who needed stuff, learned how to make stuff, and now I make things for people with the same problems I had."
By day I'm the IT Director at a mid-market company, responsible for literally everything technology touches. Networking, cloud, security, compliance, budgeting, procurement, endpoint management, vendor relationships. If it plugs in or logs in, it's on my desk.
That's where Alopex came from. Years of running enterprise IT means I've seen every pain point a business can have. Tools that don't talk to each other, manual processes nobody has time to fix, vendors who overpromise and underdeliver. So I started building the solutions myself.
I don't build technology for technology's sake. I've sat in the chair of the person who needs these things, and I know what actually matters: it has to work, it has to be secure, and it has to solve a real problem.
On AI: I don't treat AI as a buzzword or a product to sell. I treat it as a colleague. I read the research papers, run multiple frontier models in parallel every day, and push each one to its limits so I know — not guess — what works. When I bring AI into a project, it's because I've already tested the approach, broken it, and rebuilt it. You get the benefit without the experiment.
On what I build: Every custom application I've shipped is still running. Fleet tracking across 500+ vehicles, IT administration platforms, compliance workflows, network analytics, mobile apps. Production-grade, secure, and built to scale. They're still working because I build things that don't need me to keep working.
